At this year’s Farnborough International Airshow 22-26 July, the most significant aviation and aerospace event of the year. Embraer displayed a portfolio of aircraft for commercial aviation and defence sectors, which included the debut the brand-new E-Freighter, the E190F and the E195-E2, the E190F, the KC-390 Millennium multi-mission military tactical transport; and the A-29 Super Tucano.

PT-ZNG KC-390 msn 39000003 Embraer, painted in Força Aérea Brasileira (Brazilian Air Force) colours departed Farnborough to Dublin 25 July arriving 1120 local. The aircraft next day positioned Dublin to Baldonnel for a demonstration to Irish Air Corps before returning to Dublin. The aircraft departed 1231 local on 28 July routing direct to Espargos, Cape Verde.

The KC-390 can carry more payload (26 tons) compared to other medium-sized military transport aircraft and flies faster (470 knots) and farther, being capable of performing a wide range of missions such as transporting and dropping cargo and troops, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian and medical missions, operating on temporary or unpaved runways.
