The Ryanair Group is set to resume deliveries of its Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft following the conclusion of the busy summer travel season. The airline group is expecting to receive the remaining 29 aircraft from its total order of 210 aircraft, between September and November.
Speaking on Ryanair Holdings plc 2025 Earnings Call, Ryanair Group CEO Michael O’Leary stated “We expect to grow by maybe just 3% this year to 206 million passengers because of those 29 Boeing delivery delays. We’ve agreed with Boeing we’ll take those deliveries at the back end of this calendar year. So through September, October, November. So we guarantee we’ll have all of the 210 Gamechangers well in advance of summer 2026.”
Since January, Boeing has delivered nine new MAX 8-200s to the group. Of these, five aircraft were allocated to Ryanair’s Polish subsidiary, Buzz, while the remaining four were delivered to Ryanair DAC, the Irish arm of the group.
The group operates 181 aircraft. Ryanair DAC continues to lead the group’s operations with the largest fleet of the type, currently flying 119 737 MAX 8-200s. Malta Air operates 43 aircraft, while Buzz has a fleet of 19 aircraft.
