Flydubai has taken delivery of its third Boeing 737 MAX aircraft through Shannon Airport this year, as the airline continues to expand its fleet of next-generation narrowbodies.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-8 MAX registered A6-FQH (msn 60991), arrived at Shannon 13 June direct from Boeing Field (BFI) in Seattle arriving 1041 local as ‘FDB9741’. The aircraft departed 15 June using callsign ‘FDB9032’ at 0710 local direct to Dubai International Airport (DXB).

This marks the third flydubai 737 MAX delivery to transit through Shannon this year, following the arrival of A6-FQE (msn 61027) on 5 April and A6-FQF (msn 61029) on 29 May.

Flydubai has a further 126 737s on order, consisting of 118 MAX 8s and eight MAX 9s, which will be delivered over the next decade. At Dubai Airshow 2023, flydubai announced a $11 Billion purchase agreement with Boeing for 30 787-9 Dreamliners for delivery from 2027, marking the airline’s introduction into the widebody segment and diversifying its fleet.
