ASL Airlines Ireland (ASLI) has transferred one of its Airbus A300B4-622R(F) freighters to German cargo operator EAT Leipzig, according to a report by Skyliner Aviation.

The aircraft serial number (msn) 557, was re-registered from EI-DGU to D-AZMQ. It will continue flying on behalf of DHL Aviation under EAT Leipzig’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC).

Data from Planespotters.net reveals that the 35.2-year-old widebody freighter was registered to Airbus Financial Services in Dublin as F-WQTL in July 2004. Just a month later, it was placed on Irish registry as EI-DGU with Aer Lucht Ltd, prior to undergoing conversion from passenger to cargo configuration.

In January 2005, the aircraft was leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic under the Icelandic registration TF-ELK, serving for over a decade before being returned to Ireland. In February 2016, it was restored to its previous Irish registration (EI-DGU) and began flying for ASL Airlines Ireland, again in service of DHL Aviation.
